As part of a night of immersive theatre by 'The Bare Project' I performed in a piece called 'Cutlery in Conversation' by Joseph Houlders. It was a comedy duologue and was part of Galvanise festival celebrating Sheffield's Steel Industry.

As part of 'The Bare Project' I played the part of Luka in 'Bear with Snow' by Joseph Houlders, which was first performed at Bank Street Arts. It was then adapted for the Edinburgh fringe festival and renamed 'Goodbye Sun and Bear' and perfomed at the C Nova venue. 

I wrote 'Push' in 2013 as part of '22 pages' a night of immersive theatre put on by The Bare Project. It was origionally called Kemmer as it was based on an idea that came from Ursula Le Guin's novel 'The Left Hand of Darkness'.However it was slightly changed and revised slightly for Platform festival the following spring.

'Steam Room Stories' is a piece of writing that I wrote in 2013 and was performed as part of the Platform Performance Festival that took place in Sheffield. It is an immersive piece of theatre that aimed to replicate a steam room in which the crazy characters that I have encountered in steam rooms after I've been swimming come to life. It is a comedy piece and won the Platform award for 'most innovative performance'. I'm now looking for an opportunity to develop and expand the piece to be performed at more theatre festivals next year.

On the 3rd May 2014 my piece of writing with the secret title, 'The Laugh of the Medusa' (real title 'Paint Party') was performed at Bank Street Arts in Sheffield as part of a night of new writing by all by writers based in Sheffield. The night was comprised of a range of performances being performed in rooms around the gallery. My piece was a monologue about a woman who never reveals her name (Medusa) who asks the audience to paint any myths they know for her to hang on the walls. Little do they know most of the piece is scripted and she's playing a part that will end in a planted audience member being covered in paint, her nudity and then covering herself in paint. It is based on a piece of writing by Helen Cixcous called 'The Laugh of the Medusa' which is about the act of women writing. It is also a mix of how I responded to the brief of updating myths into a contemporary context when so many myths are misogynsitic and cruel towards women.
